Could selling domain name suggestions be a profitable exercise? I am sure that there are online users who make money from suggesting names but I have yet to meet one. However, I intend to find out if it’s possible.
The NameStation.com platform is my first attempt. It holds name contests where users can earn rewards. For every 1000 Talent Points, users can have $100 transferred to their PayPal account.
As of the editing of this blog post, on the 16th of November, I have earned 10 Talent Points. That is the equivalent of one dollar. I am going to try it out for a few hours every week and see what comes out of it.
Regardless of any points earned or dollars made, there is merit in using the platform — I get to exercise my creativity and, in the long run, I’ll have a list of suggested domain names from which I may derive inspiration.
